Villa Borromeo D´Adda

Located within a beautiful park of 70,000 square meters, Villa Borromeo D´Adda is one of the most prestigious and significant aristocratic houses in the town. It’s a gorgeous jewel of the late eighteenth century, and today, it presents itself as one of the most famous and evocative locations for various events.

Villa Reale (Royal Villa) at Monza

The Royal Villa (Villa Reale) was built between 1777 and 1780; commissioned by the archduke of Austria, Ferdinand. It is one of the most important neo-classical buildings in Italy. The Park of the Villa covers an area of 800ha and is a great space for outdoor sports, recreation, wellness, and socialization. The famous racing track, built in 1922 on the initiative of the “Automobile Club of Milan”, is situated in the northern area of the park and it’s open all year around. Important events are often held here; for example – the F1 Grand Prix.

Martesana Canal

The Martesana canal is about 38 km long and was completed in 1496 by Ludovico il Moro. It’s alongside the old Roman road through the Adda on two branches, Vaprio and Cassano. The route is navigable by boat and takes visitors to places of great historic and artistic value: Bussero, Cassina de´Pecchi, Gorgonzola, Bellinzago, Inzaghi, Cassano d´Adda, Vaprio D´Adda, Dairago, Trezzo sull´Adda and so on. Roaming the canal by boat is possible from April to October on Saturdays and holidays. For those who are seeking a more “adventurous” experience – you can go rafting down the river between Porto d´Adda and Trezzo, or take a trip in a canoe.

Ecomuseum Adda of Leonardo

The eco-museum on the Adda River, dedicated to Leonardo Da Vinci, is located on the river bank and follows its course for approximately 5 kilometers. It’s of great historical and cultural significance, as Leondardo Da Vince performed various studies here in the hydraulic field. Through walking or cycling along the path, you’ll be immersed in the wonders of the nature surrounding the path.
